Happy New Year dear readers!! I hope you had a great beginning of the year 2020 and enjoyed time with friends and family. As we start this new decade and new year I decided not to have resolutions this time. I want to live with intent but without expectations (as much as possible). On IG I shared a quote from Oprah Winfrey: “Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”.
I have read recommendations to become a better and successful blogger and most say to post regularly, have a consistent page esthetic and social media posts. Truth be told, I am not consistent because life happens, I am not inspired or simply putting my time to other uses/other goals. I probably could improve my planning and productivity. This does not mean I do not enjoy blogging or that I do not enjoy Instagram’s #ootd. It means I am human and my life is pretty uneventful. This year, I will blog at my own paste and hope you will follow along as I share my findings with ethical and sustainable living. I would appreciate that you let me know what content you like and share.
Coming up this year is a small project of mine, inspired mostly by the book The curated closet, by Anuschka Rees, I want to find and develop my own personal style. I decluttered my closet on December 30th and intend to put those pieces to good use by selling or donating them. I am still looking for organizations wanting workpieces. With that process, I identified some gaps in my wardrobe and will be diligent to choose the pieces joining in. I may end up with fewer/more pieces, more expensive pieces but better quality, I may spend to get them tailored to my body, or I may have a few trendy pieces. As of now, I am following along the book and my favorite part is going through Pinterest to look for style inspiration. If you want to see some of my inspiration boards, you can follow me with the links on the top or you can follow this link for the fashion inspo board.
This is a change from my 2019 new year planning, but I think it is going to be a great change. Let me know in the comments down below what you want to see on the blog in 2020.
