August Favourites

Hello everyone! I hope you enjoyed the beautiful and warm summer we experienced this year. The heat prevented us from fully taking advantage of the outdoors but we nevertheless enjoyed the season. You may have noticed that for the past few weeks I had difficulties with the site and the various posts. It should be fixed now and I am finalizing the calendar for September (yeah!). I have great stuff coming your way but would love to hear what you would like to see on the blog this Fall. To kick off this back to school/work I would like to share with you some of the products and lifestyle things I enjoyed.

If you follow me on social media, especially IG, you know that I indulged in skin care this month. I purchased the box from the collaboration between Cult Beauty and Lydia Elise Millen. She is a blogger and YouTuber from the UK and I absolutely love her style as well as her personality. Thus, it felt like I needed to try her recommended skincare. I was surprised by the smell of the box and the general odour of each product. As expected, I fell in love with some of them and they are now part of my beauty routine. You might be surprised to know that some of those products have natural ingredients with low chemicals, meaning most of these don’t have any “nasties” in them but work so well on my skin. Here are the products from the box I use on a daily basis or every other day.

Night routine in order: cleansing foam, toner (every other night), and night oil (every other night).

Morning routine in order: toner, illuminating moisturizer, and CC serum.

Other product I have been loving.

I use this eye cream in the morning following with the moisturizer. I always follow with sunscreen before putting a primer or foundation so I really like the stick from Beautycounter. Another product I use is the belif eye cream at night.

With September starting, I find myself inspired to change things up and improve my day to day productivity. I have updated my planner for September to December with all the important dates and upcoming events. I also made sure to update my block schedule (for more details see FunCheaporFree website). It makes so much sense and so far it is working well. Another thing I did was to update my to-do list with everything I would like done before the end of the year and all the day to day things. That way, I can tackle one at a time whenever possible.

I am still enjoying audiobooks so much with Audible. I just finished another one and only have 2 more to go. I am open to suggestions for my next book so please leave recommendations in the comments below.

How was your month of August? Any big plans for September? Please don’t forget to subscribe to get an email every time I post on my blog. I hope you enjoyed my monthly favourites and see you soon on the blog. Have a lovely week!
